Large-Diaphragm Studio Condenser Microphone

Nevaton’s MC440 is a large-diaphragm studio condenser microphone. Its vintage sound makes it a solid choice for male and female vocals, but it also performs exceptionally when recording most acoustic instruments. In addition, the MC440 is a solid solution for voice over, post-production, and broadcast.

The MC440 is available with cardioid and omni-directional polar patterns. It shares the same 33mm large-diaphragm capsule as the Nevaton 416. The amplifier is built to the Class ‘A’ transformerless standard and all transistors pass a special selection process to guarantee minimal self-noise levels. The MC440 operates on 48V phantom power and a gold-plated XLR-connector is used as an output-connector. It can handle SPL up to 135 dB without distortion. The microphone’s internal components are elastically mounted to lower vibration and handling noise to an absolute minimum. The result is a warm, revealing “vintage-like” sound with clear midrange and natural bass.

Like all Nevaton microphones, the MC440 is 100% handmade in St. Petersburg, Russia. Each microphone is carefully tested in an anechoic chamber to ensure a level of quality that easily competes with Europe’s top brands.
